Charity celebrated her 10th anniversary of performing at Cherry's and 40th anniversary of being chosen Miss Fire Island with a gala first, every-other-Monday, show of her season, billed as "Charity and Her Cherry Tarts," at Cherry's on June 23. Heaven served as DJ.

Ooofaaa, in glitzy jacket, opened for Charity with a seductive "Sex Bomb" and introduced the diva as our own 'sex bomb.' Sporting not a few sparkles, frills and feathers herself, Charity established the steamy theme of the evening with "Big Spender" and continued in a similar vein with a jazzy "Love for Sale," "This [sic] Lady Is a Tramp," adding "And I'm proud of it," and "Fever."

Heaven offered a couple of numbers--with Cherry's co-owner Jacqué Piazza substituting as DJ--as did Bambi and Renée Flaming. Rae Lindsay shared a campy parody of "Second Hand Rose" ("He's one of those. He's always wearing my clothes ... down Second Avenue.")

Charity returned to close the show with red-hot mama songs "Won't You Come Home, Bill Bailey?" "Hard-Hearted Hannah," and "Hey, Daddy." She later made a cameo appearance at Shequida's show at the Ice Palace.
