Daniel Nardicio, creator, with Miss Sweetie, of the original underwear party at the Tides, five seasons ago, returned to Cherry Grove, on July 11, to host the first of three gala "Panty Revolution" parties at the Ice Palace. Men from the Grove and Pines flocked to the disco to dance and party in their underwear and enjoy the go-go dancers, as well as a show with singers Porsche, Sherry Vine and Wendy Ho, complete with a Wendy Ho lip-sync contest. DJ David Serrano provided the music.
Porsche and Sherry got the party started by harmonizing on-what else?-"Get This Party Started." Wendy offered three of her earthy classics: her rap, "I Stole Your Purse;" "Please don't fuck me in the ass tonight," to the tune of "On the Disco Line;" and "Fuck Me," her answer to "Get Here." Then she judged the best lip-synching to her songs, choosing among contestants Desiray, in nun's wimple, décolletage, and fishnet stockings, preaching "The Gospel of Ho;" Rebecca Glasscock, in a rap, swearing off cocaine; Gassy Winds limning her "Little Town (it's a quiet ghetto);" Martina Skyy, with her own tough "I Stole Your Purse;" and R.V. Beaumont, doing "Fuck Me." Wendy declared Martina the winner-of a bar-tab-and Desiray, the runner-up.
The next "Panty Revolution" events are on August 8, Daniel's birthday, featuring Miss Sweetie and the Dazzle Dancers, and September 5, with Shasta Cola.
