Shequida opened an on upbeat note with "I've Got Rhythm." She offered her own raucous adaptations of "Don't You (wish your girlfriend was hot"-or "hung"-"like me)" and, bilingually, of "I Who Have Nothing" ("Yo te quiero"). Shequida also presented guests Jerome Bell, from the second season of "American Idol," singing a dulcet "Bleeding Love," complete with ascents into head tone, and Angelique Ali, returning after several seasons' absence to sing "The Power of Love," her soprano still fresh-sounding.
