In the wake of the recent murders of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Breonna Taylor in Louisville, Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia, and other people of color, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS donated $25,000 to Color of Change on June 2. On June 9, “to support anti-racism and social justice organizations” further, Broadway Cares announced additional contributions of $50,000 to the Broadway Advocacy Coalition and $25,000 each to The Bail Project and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
