On May 18, Cherry Grove Community Association, Inc. President Diane Romano notified the community of the passing of Jeffrey Piccolomini, of Cherry Grove, Fire Island, and Brooklyn, New York. He is survived by his husband of nearly 20 years, Scott Lafountaine, as well as Bill Ottignon, Stella Anna, and other friends. In 2012 and 2013, Jeff joined other members of the Cherry Grove community in a collaborative effort with Fire Island National Seashore Rangers to encourage community relations and clean up litter in the Meat Rack/Carrington Tract.
