The colorful, usually annual House Blessing took place on June 6 and raised $8,030 for 10 Cherry Grove community organizations, as follows:
Arts Project of Cherry Grove (APCG) $350 in checks plus $278 in cash;
Black and Brown Equity Coalition (BaBEC) $50 in checks plus $278 in cash;
Cherry Grove Archives Collection (CGAC) $350 in checks plus $278 in cash;
Cherry Grove Community Association, Inc. (CGCAI) $250 in checks plus $278 cash;
Cherry Grove Property Owners Association (CGPOA) $250 in checks plus $278 cash;
Cherry Grove Garden Fund $250 in checks plus $278 cash;
Cherry Grove Dune Fund, Inc. $1,685 in checks plus $278 in cash;
Cherry Grove Fire Department (CGFD) $120 in checks plus $278 in cash;
Cherry Grove Memorial Fund, Inc. $1,695 in checks plus $278 in cash;
Pines Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Cherry Grove Chapter $250 in checks plus $278 cash.
Taking part in this effort, blessing the houses, the businesses, and the dock, were Homecoming Queen 2021 Davida, Beach DeBree, Father Guido the Sicilian, Moon Beam, the Flying Mensch, Brother Irving, Sandy Bottom carrying the banner, Friar Corbin, YaNeeda Dunes, Sister Gregory, Sister Sheila Monster, Sister Immaculata and, driving the Fire Department vehicle, Anthony DiPinto.
