Shequida ended her season at the Ice Palace on September 10, assisted by DJ Chuck McTague, by hosting a show filled with pranks and surprises, the first of which was that she performed her first number, inviting “Come and see the last of me,” artfully disheveled, until she changed into her customary finery, beneath a sign advertising Porsche. She tore down Porsche’s sign only to find smaller signs with the names of all of her other Ice Palace colleagues beneath it! She then told off a nasty boss by rapping, “Bitch, go and change your Kotex.”
Our star diva reviewed songs of the summer “Let’s Have a Kiki,” “Call Me, Maybe,” and “Starships,” and offered “Der Hölle Rache,” the Queen of Night’s aria from “Die Zauberflöte,” interrupted by flatulence, and “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” with comments like “two hard cocks” interpolated.
Shequida introduced her guest from Los Angeles, Rhea Litré, garbed in feathers and fabric remnants of many colors, urging “Feel the beating within my heart.” Rhea later returned with a punk look, demanding “Fuck me like a robot” and declaring “She can fuck you good, but I can fuck you better.” Shequida’s guests from Fire Island Pines, Skittles and Savannah Georgia, gave us their take on “Poor Unfortunate Souls” and “Part of that World,” from “The Little Mermaid,” and “Don’t Rain on My Parade,” from “Funny Girl.”
Shequida ended by singing her “tipping song,” “(I’m your) Tranny Singer” (“Private Dancer”), complete with soprano high notes, and closed with “Last Dance.”
The chilly evening concluded with a naked pool party.
