Members and Friends of the Arts Project converged in Fort Lauderdale Florida on Sunday, February 24th, at Primavera Restaurant (830 E. Oakland Park Blvd. Ft. Lauderdale FL - an establishment well known by gay locals for its involvement in community events). The turnout was so overwhelming, the venue had been changed three times to accommodate the growing number of the events' followers. Bar, full sit-down dinner, and a great deal of conversation was enjoyed by all.

This premiere event is already being instituted as an annual reunion, since so many Fire Islanders reside or vacation in South Florida over the winter months.

Special thanks to Charlie Isola and Dan Clancy for taking part in making the event happen (and ensuring the costs of the gathering remained in budget by donating a good amount to the overall bill), and to Thom "Panzi" Hansen, current President of the APCG for orchestrating the event.
