Russell A. Chieffe, of Cherry Grove, Fire Island and Jersey City, New Jersey, life partner of Kenneth Padron, passed away on April 1 at the age of 55. Russell was born in Newburgh, New York on December 29, 1957 and funeral services were held on April 4 at the Oakland Memorial Home, on Ramapo Valley Road, in Oakland NJ.
Russell worked in the medical field from an early age, as a member of the ambulance and first aid squads as a teenager and, later, as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse and a Physician’s Assistant. In addition to loving life partner and companion to Ken, Russell was known as a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, co-worker, and friend.
“He provided hope and compassion to all in his care. He acted as a cornerstone in the healing process for the critically ill, giving hope, compassion, strength, and most of all, love,” reads an ‘In Memoriam’ piece that Ken Padron circulated.
Russell will be sorely missed by all of us who knew him.
