Shequida, assisted by DJ Scotty Rox, made her seasonal return to the Ice Palace on Memorial Day, opening with an Egyptian-themed production number, complete with quartet hunky of dancers. In honor of the holiday, she sang “The Star Spangled Banner.”
Shequida reviewed favorite songs of summer 2013, including Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness,” Icona Pop’s “I Love It,” Lady Gaga’s “Applause,” and Katy Perry’s “Roar,” and offered a “tribute to the legendary Cher.” She introduced guest Crystal Demure, from North Carolina, and joined her in singing a competitive duet of the Gershwins’ “Summertime.”
Also featured were a twerking contest and “(I’m your) Tranny Singer (singer for money),” Shequida’s tip bucket song.
