To follow up on its July 12 “Moroccan Mirage” Save Our Community House (SOCH) benefit, which raised $54,000 in donations and pledges, according to Cherry Grove Community Association, Inc. (CGCAI) Board of Directors member Frank Borsas, CGCAI will hold another SOCH benefit on August 2, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Blueberry Hill, on the corner of Aeon and Bayview Walks. “Get your kicks on our Route 66,” the flyers invite. Tickets to the event are $75 and “road trip inspired attire is encouraged.”
CGCAI is currently raffling off a flashy new 2014 ruby red Mustang Convertible V-6, with 600 tickets being sold for $100 each, and the drawing will take place at the “Route 66” party.
