On June 26, pianist Dan Daly made his welcome, long-awaited return, after an illness, to playing at Sand Castle. Lavinia Draper dropped in after her show to sing "The Rose;" Kenny Holcomb sang "Bridge Over Troubled Waters;" Jill Conklin sang "Don't Cry for Me Argentina," "Broadway Baby," and "I'm Not that Girl;" Mike Schafer sang some Barry Manilow and led everyone in "What I Did for Love;" and I contributed "I'm Still Here," "This Nearly Was Mine," and "Someone to Watch Over Me." Melanie, Ann, and Ian also had solos. Dan gave us music by James Taylor, Carol King, Cole Porter, and Henry Mancini, in addition to more Gershwin and Rodgers and Hammerstein.
