On June 13, at From Here to Eternity, on Sumner Walk, author Jamie Brickhouse's friends, another Jamie and Alfred, threw a lavish party to celebrate the publication of Jamie Brickhouse's new memoir "Dangerous When Wet." Much of Cherry Grove turned out to enjoy refreshments, including a cake with the inscription 'Congratulations Jamie on your Book DANGEROUS WHEN WET,' hear entertainer Hedda Lettuce kibitz and interview Jamie about his book, and listen to Jamie read excerpts, funny and moving, from the memoir. DJ Greg Scarnici provided music. Fire Island Goods (FIG), which is selling the book at the downtown Cherry Grove shop, on Bayview Walk, and displaying it in the window, was at the party with a table of autographed copies of "Dangerous When Wet," which Jamie further personally inscribed.
