On April 11, Lynn Lewis, who fought a valiant battle with cancer and was, along with her wife Donna and blue-and-gold macaw Maui, a familiar Cherry Grove figure, passed away on April 11, according to Cherry Grove Community Association, Inc. (CGCAI) President Diane Romano. Lynn had been a CGCAI Board member for the past three years and Diane wrote, in a notice to Grovites, “Lynn was an inspiration to many, particularly to young women who loved football … She was their coach, mentor, friend and mother … She brought great energy and commitment to our community, and gave of her time, even when she had very little strength.”
