On August 22, the Ice Palace’s late afternoon/early evening “Ice Tea” tea dance was a well-attended benefit for Black Lives Matter organizations. DJ Corey Craig was responsible for music and sound and co-hosts were reigning Miss Cherry’s and past Miss Fire Island Brenda Dharling and reigning Miss Fire Island Zola Powell, who contributed specialty diva numbers, and Tomik 2.0 AKA Fag Rag magazine Editor-in-Chief Tomik Dash. In attendance were Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines folks, including additional performers and other local luminaries.
